Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel & Resort, Jomtien Beach Rd. I m a little indifferent about this hotel. I have stayed there at least 8 times over a 5 year period and every experience seems to be a bit different. None of them have, however, been stellar! This past trip was full of tour groups mostly from Korea. I must say, Koreans in general are a rude and ethocentric bunch and I would really prefer to stay away from them if at all possible. Case in point: During the free buffet breakfast, my party was seated at a table. I watched Korean woman walk over to the water dispenser and get a glass of water. She promptly turned around looked at us and set her used glass on my table to the shock of myself and my friend. If I had been quicker on my toes, I might have chased after her and hurled the glass at her head. The hotel itself, having recently gone through a renovation, shows no sign of added comfort or updating. Pool is beautiful too look at but beware of the sharp blue tiles that are not flush on the side and bottom. You may get a nice gash on your foot. The stonework and cobblestone entryway HURTS when walked on. Thai ingenuity at its best with mediocre follow-through and execution. I think its time to find another tourist hotel in the area. |

Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel & Resort, Jomtien Beach Rd. Very nice hotel. I had a great coner room right above the pool and a great view of the sea. The downside is the noise and loud music outside until about 2:00am. Good restaurants and bars. The security staff will question Thai women even when escorted by foreigners which is rude. i would probably stay their again though. |

The hotel is very near the beachfront and many restaurants. The staff is quite professional, and polite, and there is a LOT of security, which is a good thing. |

Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel & Resort, Jomtien Beach Rd. This hotel has a 30% higher rate with direct booking than through Sawadee; forget about extending stay on the same rate, the staff will simply refuse to assist. Rate for Thai nationals less than the rate through Sawadee but, when accompanied by a foreigner, even if the Thai national pays, the rate will be immediately elevated to the foreigner rate if they see your face. Very unpleasant experience at check-in. We declined to use the reservation made by the Thai national and moved to Royal Cliff beach resort where no such practice exist and the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. I utilised the booking made through Sawadee later as this was paid and non-refundable. Rather miserable place; mostly due to less than friendly and helpful staff. Will not use this hotel again.. |
Excellent service from Sawadee; response time on last minute bookings, as frequently happens when one is resident in Thailand, could be improved, avoiding the hassle of dealing with hotels directly. |

Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel & Resort, Jomtien Beach Rd. Everything was fine up until I checked out. I lost my safe deposit box key and found out later that I would not get back my 1,000 baht deposit, plus they charged me another 3,500 baht for losing the key! I can understand giving up 1,000 baht for deposit but I do not understand the 3500 baht charge. The staff did not care one way or another and charged me the full amount anyway, even after I complained. For this reason, I find the hotel staff to be unprofessional and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone! |

Jomtien Thani Hotel & Resort, Jomtien Beach Rd. Very friendly staff, very close to the beach, very spacious room with great sea view. Breaky was good with alot of choice. Hotel getting a bit dated but all in all an ok hotel. Would stay here again. |
